Last week I looked up and noticed how long it had been. There’s so much to reflect on in that time…the birth of my daughter, my wife’s battle with cancer, losing loved ones, career changes, relocations, global pandemics, wins, losses, setbacks and comebacks on repeat.
In all that time, there was also Jiu-Jitsu. It kept me healthy. It helped me stay focused. It held me accountable.
My coaches and teammates and students were there too. They’ve been my comic relief, my words of advice, and shoulder to cry on. We’ve helped each other chase our dreams and lay a strong foundation for some incredibly special things to come.
I’m passionate about what I do because of how valuable this is to me. It’s my life.
