We had so much cause for celebration recently, as Professor Caio was in town to share his mind-blowing Jiu-Jitsu and Mr Ahmed Orozco was promoted to the well-deserved rank of Black Belt!
We've had to opportunity to host more than a dozen seminar events with Professor, and each one is more incredible than the last. We focused on the Single Leg X-Guard position, working a couple of sweep opportunities before dialing in on an ankle lock submission for a majority of the session.
Professor's details on the grip and execution of the techniques had an immediate impact on everyone in attendance, as he walked around the room and helped students with the concepts. His ability to explain even the most difficult movements in a fun and engaging way is absolutely unsurpassed. We can't wait to have him back again!
We also had the opportunity to recognize Ahmed Orozco with the promotion to Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He has dedicated more than 25 years to training and couldn't be more deserving. He has been an incredible student, teammate, competitor, and Coach since arriving at CTA Irving, but most importantly he's been a great friend.
Whether he's helping an Intro student on his first day or helping an experienced one polish up technique, we're blessed to have him with us and honored to share this moment and milestone. Congrats Ahmed!
