This past weekend, several members of our team stepped onto the mats to compete at the IBJJF Dallas Winter Open, representing the academy with heart and determination.
Paul, Christi, and Jake each had strong opening matches against tough opponents. While the results didn’t go their way, Paul & Christi both earned bronze medals and showed the kind of effort and composure we’re proud to see from our students. Competing takes courage, and their performances reflected the hard work they’ve been putting in on the mats.
We also had the pleasure of having CTA teammates Penny and Kristina competing alongside us. It’s always a great experience to share the competition mats with teammates, and they both had excellent performances as well.
Meanwhile, Logan took the show on the road and traveled south to compete with Jiu-Jitsu World League in Austin, where he delivered two dominant victories—one by points and one by submission—to bring home the gold medal.
Win or lose, competition is about growth. We’re proud of everyone who stepped up this weekend, and now it’s back to the lab as we continue preparing for the next challenge.
One Team. One Family. We are CTA.
