More Half Guard Passing and Attacking from Side Control on deck! If our opponent has mobile hips and it is hard to isolate their position, then opening up our own hips becomes the strategy. This allows us the opportunity to either Mount of pass to Side Control without the risk of getting swept.

From Side Control, we will attack an Armlock on our opponent’s near-side arm. It will be necessary to move our hips in order to make the step over their head, so we will be covering that along with breaking their grip should they defend.
