We’re closing out 2025 and ringing in 2026 with some more Mount Attacks. Mounting isn’t as easy as it’s said, neither that basic. Even though the moves from Mount might not be as complicated as in other areas, controlling the Mount can be just as hard, and for that reason a lot of lower belts end up conceding to play Guard instead. That is a mistake! If you can’t control someone in Mount, do not accept your opponent rolling you over – instead don’t worry about the Submission, just worry about controlling your opponent and not allowing him to get out. Once you get better at controlling in Mount then proceed to the submissions. That will make your Mount a lot more efficient and make you a lot more dangerous!
