Self Defense and Submissions are on our menu this week! Altho0ugh often times we focus on the “sport” application of our techniques, the root of all martial arts is using our skills to protect ourselves and those that we love. Our first Lesson Plan deals with Neck Controls and Bear Hugs and how we can incorporate basic Judo and Wrestling into our escapes.

On Wednesday, we’ll begin in the Side Control Position for our Fundamental Classes, where we will cover the Kimura Submission. This is one of the most versatile ways to submit your opponent in all of BJJ, and this Lesson Plan is the perfect introduction to it.
