The Triangle Choke is one of the most popular submissions in BJJ. Though its roots are actually linked to Judo, the application of the Triangle Choke from the Guard position is a Fundamental seen in every Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy in the world.
Beginning Monday, we’ll discuss the basics of both Offense and Defense surrounding the Triangle Choke. Because there are so many different elements and angles to the technique, maintaining posture throughout the defense and escape are critical.
