HAPPY NEW YEAR! With the start of a New Year comes new goals, new adventures and new memories!
Some of our favorite Lesson Plans are on the way next week to kick things off. We’ll begin with the Cross Choke from Closed Guard. This technique is one of the classic submissions of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and can have many different variations in both grip and position. The basic concepts of this choke stay the same regardless, and we’ll cover several drills that focus on those movements.
The second half of our week will focus on what we can do if our opponent stands up in our Closed Guard. The Catucada Sweep is a favorite Lesson Plan of Professor Collin’s to teach due to its variations and different perspectives covered. Don’t miss out on these classes Wednesday and Thursday!
We’ll be starting our week with Open Mat for CTA students on Monday from 12-2PM and will resume our normal schedule on Tuesday, January 3rd. New Year means Big Energy – LET’S GO!
