January ends and February begins as we complete our Lesson Plans from one position and move onto another! Being underneath the Knee on Belly position can be extremely uncomfortable, not to mention that it places your opponent just a short step away from the Mount. We’ll spend Monday and Tuesday learning how to recover Quarter Guard then work to come up into a variation of a Single Leg takedown:
On Wednesday, we will return to the standing position and address both Single Leg Takedowns and Arm-Out Guillotines. The Guillotine Choke is available from several different positions and opportunities, so this is always a favorite Lesson Plan every time it’s taught.
On Tuesday and Thursday, we’ll be discussing both D’Arce and North/South Chokes in No-Gi Class, so make sure to get on the mat this week! OSS!
