Straight from the Texas Open on Saturday, we’re headed back to Half Guard on Monday! This week will be filled with more than a dozen belt promotions in both our youth and adult classes and the perfect Lesson Plans to go along with their advancements. On Monday and Tuesday, we’ll be focused on beating our opponent’s knee shield and entering into the Tripod Pass to Mount!

Beginning on Wednesday, we’ll address what to do if our opponent is more mobile and works to escape their hips. While they’re escaping, our strategy is changing! When we sit to our hip, we have the options of moving to Mount or Side Control, depending on their reaction:
