Continuing from last week’s Sit-Up Sweep, we’re moving on to the Mount! Following a HUGE weekend of promotions at the Academy, we’re advancing position to the top for this week’s Lesson Plans. Our focus to start the week will be how to control the position. Once the Mount has been achieved, it’s important to use the position to your advantage. By being on top, we can use our weight and different leverage points to maintain dominant position. From there, we’ll cover the Cross Choke!

Beginning Wednesday, we will learn how to apply an Armlock from the Mount. We’ll use the same strengths of the top position to isolate an arm and secure the submission. We’ll also address some different methods to break our opponents’ grips if they defend!
