Defense, Escapes and some Judo on the menu! We have been working very heavily in class on our Submission Series from Mount, so this week we’ll begin some defense and escapes from there. Starting Monday, we’ll cover a couple of different paths to improving your position – one that immediately puts you back on the offensive!

On Wednesday, it’s back to the feet! One of the most important Self-Defense situations to know how to escape is being grabbed around the neck from behind. Professor Collin will address the different ways this can occur and how to react depending on your posture and whether or not it’s been broken. We’ll introduce the basic Judo throws of O Goshi and Osoto Gari and incorporate them into Self-Defense situations.

Our No-Gi Classes (TTH @ 6pm) will follow up on the Hip Press Escape with some Leg Attacks & Butterfly Guard techniques. See everyone in class!
