Our focus this week will be Guard Passing! For the first Lesson Plan, we will be covering the Modified Hip Switch. This is a great method for beating the Knee Shield and passing Half Guard, and we will cover several different scenarios and opponent reactions along the way.
We’ll follow up with the Knee Cut method of Guard Passing beginning Wednesday. This option allows you secure a tight hip connection and then defeat any Guard Retention efforts they may have.
Our final preparation for the Jiu-Jitsu World League tournament is on deck as well, so we have some exciting days ahead!
