Building off of last week’s Upa Lesson Plan, we’re beginning from inside our opponent’s Closed Guard on Monday and Tuesday. We’ll be focusing on the elements of balance and posture quite a bit in order to stand and open the Guard prior to passing.
We’ll introduce the Toureando Pass early on in the week, but we’ll dial in on some more details beginning Wednesday. We’ll also cover the Double Under Pass, a classic way to get around our opponent’s legs using lots of pressure and hip control.
We’ll be working more Passes in Advanced Class and Double Under Pass DEFENSES in No-Gi, so get to class this week!
