Headlocks and Hip Escapes on the way this week! On Monday and Tuesday, we will be focusing on defending a headlock and the danger of punches on our way to escaping to safety. We will address the standing headlock in addition to the Kesa Gatame or Scarf Hold Position from the ground.
On Wednesday, we will begin the second Lesson Plan of the week which addresses one of the most fundamental movements and techniques in Jiu-Jitsu – the Hip Escape. We’ll be working to defend ourselves from underneath Side Control and recover to Guard to get back on offense.
