The Guard is one of most dynamic positions in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and this week we’ll begin with working on how to pass it! There are several different concepts at work when controlling our opponents’ feet, hips and knees, so the we’ll be sure to cover all those along the way. On Monday, Professor Collin will start with the Single Under Pass and discuss the different options available depending on the reactions we get.
On Wednesday, our focus moves to both legs! The Bull Pass and Double Under Pass are amazing ways to control the hips of a mobile opponent. We’ll be utilizing strong hip control to work our way into side control and prevent our partners’ escape attempts along the way.
No-Gi and Advanced Classes will be focused on Guard Passing too, so don’t miss a moment on the mat!
