I’ve been teaching for the last 13 years, and over that time, I’ve gone through the ranks of Purple, Brown, Black, and now 1st Degree Black Belt. For the last 6 years as a Black Belt, I’ve struggled with feeling “worthy” of the title Professor.

I’ve taught part time and full time since 2005 – I’d say I’m the hobbyist who made good. Competed a fair share throughout white and blue belts successfully, fading a bit starting at purple as I began transitioning into my role as an instructor.
In 2014 Caio Terra Academy Irving opened it’s doors offering a few classes at noon. In 2017 we completely revamped our schedule, programs and mission, to bring you the best Jiu Jitsu in the greater Irving area!
New in 2017 is the addition of 7 more night classes including 2 intro classes which are focused on self defense and proper movement. If you have never been on a mat in your life, looking for a new work out, or aspire to be a world champion we have something for everyone.
