Each year, the Caio Terra Association holds its training camp for affiliates and students around the world. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic of 2020, this was the first opportunity for a large group to be able to return to San Jose, California and participate.
Our week started by winning the team title at the IBJJF Santa Cruz Open! Our teammates dominated in both the Gi and No-Gi divisions throughout the weekend and finished the event on top of the podium.
In addition to the incredible Jiu-Jitsu from Professor Caio, we were able to attend classes taught by Gabriel Marangoni, Vitor Paschoal, Felipe Costa, Mason Fowler and even some of our visiting affiliates. There was so much technical knowledge being shared it’s easy to see why this team is so successful at every level.
Belt Promotions were also held following the Felipe Costa Seminar. Professor Caio promoted dozens of Blue, Purple and Brown Belts before closing with two Black Belts and several Degrees. The acceptance speeches of the higher ranking members were especially emotional, affirming how much this team means to everyone who is a part of it.
