Today we’re releasing the fourth lesson plan on the CTA Fundamental Curriculum. Although this is one of our shorter lesson plans, the Outside Trip Double Leg Takedown and Arm-In Guillotine are among the most effective techniques that we teach! You may view the techniques on Professor Caio’s website by clicking here.
Adding the Outside Trip to your Double Leg Takedown is a great way to continue your momentum and still finish in good position when your opponent defends. This is a perfect of example of attacking in combinations – when one technique stops, another begins!
We complete the Lesson Plan with both the offense and defense of the Arm-In Guillotine choke. Notice that the control of our opponent’s body and hips are just as important (if not more) than the actual squeeze on the neck!
We hope to have more information coming this next week on our reopening and what that will look like. As soon as we know more, we’ll plan accordingly and update everyone as soon as possible – thank you for the continued support and for proving that “One Team, One Family” is more than just a catchy saying. It’s who we are.
